1951 Press Photo M/Sgt. Joseph F. Gonzales Sr. of Marine Air Reserve Unit

Veteran of Service on Guadalcanal, Eniwetok, The Marshalls and The Gilbert Islands with the Marine in World War II, M/Sgt. Joseph F. Gonzales Sr., Parish Road, Chalmette, is engineering Chief of VMF-143, The Marine Air Reserve Unit recently recalled to active duty at the Naval Air Station on the Lakefront. Gonzales, married with one son, was employed as a parts man at the Ford Plant at Arabi, His wife is the former Bernice Cazzetta.
