The Good Provider competition is co-sponsored annually by The Times Picayune And the Chamber of Commerce, in cooperation with the LSU Agricultural Extension Service. The two adult leaders singled out for honors this year have produced a large number of national 4-H and state 4-H winners. Both of Mrs. Peele's sons, including this year's first-place winner, have been state winners in certain events; and Heath, a pioneer in extension work, served the East Baton Rouge area as county agent for more than 35 years, seeing a host of his 4-H youths capture national titles, including Donna Long, whose championship was announced Thursday.
