Dr. John R. Gorham (center), U.S. Public Health Service from Atlanta, Georgia, said here Friday that mosquito control measures have probably prevented an encephalitis epidemic in this area this summer. He addressed an "Instant Training course" on arthropod-borne encephalitis at the Jefferson Parish Health Center. Other speakers were Commander Harold Scott (left), U.S. Public Health Service Hospital officer, and Glenn Stokes, Jefferson Parish mosquito control officer.
