Support of a new bipartisan organization designed to work for the election of congressmen who favor the principles of the competitive enterprise system was urged today by James W. Douthat of Washington, D.C., assistant vice-president of the National Association of Manufacturers. Addressing the annual convention of the National Ice association at the Roosevelt Hotel here, Douthat said the new organization, the Business-Industry Political Action Committee (BIPAC), is being vigorously supported by the national Association of Manufacturers and other groups.
