Cal Protest Meeting On City Smog. A mass meeting of Gentilly residents has been called tonight to protest the increasing presence of smog in that area. The meeting will be held at 8:30 p.m. at the Gentilly Baptist Church, 5141 Franklin. It is open to the public. J.H. Burton, chairman of the Greater Gentilly Civic Council will preside. City's Smog-Bound Coast Riles Gentilly Highway People. Motorists who have to drive through the hazardous smog clouds on Gentilly Highway are not to be envied. But what about the people who live in the area? How do they feel about the choking, haunting whiteness which sinks down upon their houses in the evening, isolating them from the outside world and filling their lungs with noxious fumes?
