Teachers Cite New Orleans Students. Excellence in English Language Skills Seen. Four New Orleans high school seniors have been cited by the National Council of Teachers of English for excellence in English language skills. Russell Wesley Steele, son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert W. Steele, 5878 Orleans avenue, and Elizabeth Ehmig, daughter of Mrs. Beverly Ehmir, 4705 Venus, were among some 400 students in the United States who received first place awards.
