Fleming Honored By Psychiatrists. Dr. Edward S. Fleming, founder and director of the Psychiatric Institute of Washington, D.C., recently received the Golden Plate Award fro the field of psychiatry, presented by the American Academy of Achievement. Dr. Fleming was cited for his efforts in bringing community awareness of the problems of psychiatric patients and his work in perfecting the techniques of outpatient care.
