Speakers at the eighth annual symposium of the Louisiana Society of Electron Microscopy which opened Friday at the Monteleone Hotel discuss a stereo slide of an enlarged section of a moon rock. Dr. Robert M. Fisher, president of the Electron Microscopy Society of America and keynote speaker, holds the slide. Dr. Fisher uses the largest electron microscope in the country and it was employed to examine the moon rocks for the government. From left are Dr. John Ruby, anatomist at Louisiana State University and co-chairman of the symposium; Dr. W.R. Bottoms, Princeton, New Jersey; Dr. Fisher and Dr. Robert F. Dyer, LSU anatomist and co-chairman of the symposium.
