Description
Public Utility Buyers' Group - Among speakers at the Monday sessions of the 33rd annual mid-winter conference of the Public Utility Buyers' Group, at the Roosevelt Hotel were Wilbur England (left), professor of business administration at Harvard University, and Milton Elert, assistant manager, residential sales, Michigan Consolidated Gas Co., Detroit, Michigan. They spoke Monday afternoon. A professor of business administration at Harvard University Monday told members of the Public Utility Buyers' Group that he advised against a strictly vocational type of education for a career in purchasing. "In a world that is changing so rapidly," said Professor Wilbur England, "it is essential that people be educated and trained in such a way that they remain mentally flexible, imaginative and creative."
