1950 Press Photo Mrs. Victor Dusang With Eight of Her Twelve Children

Mrs. Victor Dusang quiets baby Diane while the other children exhibit their co-operative spirit. Clockwise, they are Alfred, Frank, Julius, Joyce, Catherine, Louis and George. The remaining four, not shown, are Paul, Joseph, Juliette, Mildred and the eldest, Joan. It didn't take the Industrial Revolution to teach Mrs. Victor Dusang the advantages of mass production. She buys potatoes by the sack, shirts by two's and three's. She's found one baby chair can go a long way, and a large pot of red beans and rice can serve 14 persons with little difficulty.
