Oscar F. Dupont was installed as commander of the new Maritime Post 247 of the American Legion at a meeting last night in the Association of Commerce Building. Mr. Dupont served in the Navy as chief engineer on a transport during World War I. Capt. John Oettl of the U.S. Coast Guard, first vice commander of the new post, officiated at the ceremonies. The post is the first one here exclusively for men connected with the marine industry.
