Priests of St. Rose of Lima Church, 2545 Bayou Road, examine jeweled centennial chalice made from heirlooms of parishioners. Sunday, May 19, will be Centennial Sunday. This Saturday a solemn high mass was chanted for living members of parish. In photo, seated, Msgr. Edward C. Prendergast, pastor, Standing, left to right, the Rev. Clinton Doskey and the Rev. William Koninkx. The chalice will be viewed this Sunday. A booklet telling the church's history, written by Roger Baudier, Sr., will be presented Sunday to parishioners.
