1971 Press Photo Melanie Ann Normand with schnauzer mother & puppies at her home

Seven male puppies hold the attention of Melanie Ann Normand and their mother, a schnauzer, at the home of Melanie's mother, Mrs. L.J. Norman, 3524 N. Labarre Rd., Metairie. It was the pooch's third litter. A veterinarian said a normal litter numbers four. Seven pups, and all males, are very unusual, he said. The puppies were born June 7.
