1963 Press Photo Mrs. Carter & James Byrnes admire a sculpture at Delgado Museum

Admiring a piece of sculpture to be added to Delgado Museum of Art's permanent collection are Mrs. Philip D. Carter, a museum worker, and James B. Byrnes, director. The work is among two paintings and two pieces of sculpture selected for purchase from the 1963 artists' exhibition on display at the museum. The welded-steel sculpture, by Jay R. Yager of Commerce, Texas, is entitled "Column for W.F."
