Greeting theater and film stars Ruby Dee and Ossie Davis (second from left) Thursday afternoon at Southern University in New Orleans were Ernest Chachere 9right), chairman of SUNP's Lyceum Committee, and Dr. Emmet W. Bashful, vice-president of the university. Mr. and Mrs. Davis participated in a Thursday afternoon communications workshop at SUNO and opened the Lyceum series Thursday night with a program of black poetry and theater selections.
