District Two of the Veterans of Foreign Wars installed new officers at the Metairie Post Number 6640. New district officers include Dan D. Cottingham, commander; Lester Boudreaux, senior vice - commander; Larry St. Pe, junior vice - commander; Floyd Gros, quartermaster; Lloyd Demitry, chaplain; Charles Hartenstein, judge advocate , and James Leddick, surgeon. Newly seated officers of the VFW auxiliary are Mrs. Lillian Dennis, president; Mrs. Marion Leonard, senior vice-president; Mrs. Dorothy Dimitry, junior vice-president; Mrs. Rita Hymel, treasurer; Mrs. Mildred Ramendet, chaplain, and Mrs. Marie Jackson, conductress.
