Backs Civil Rights -- Archbishop John Patrick Cody of Chicago Roman Catholic diocese, arrived from his former post in New Orleans a year ago this month. Some of the faithful wondered what he would do in the civil rights field. Now they know. In a letter read from all pulpits July 10 he said: A crusade for freedom and equality is well under way; and you and I, as Catholics and Americans, must be part of it."
