1967 Press Photo Life-size Nativity scene in the parking lot of Pontchartrain

This is a view of the life-size Nativity scene which will be on display from Saturday through New Year's Day in the parking lot of Pontchartrain Beach, at Elysian Fields and Lakeshore drive. The traditional manger scene, designed by Blaine Kern, consists of some 25 figures - the Holy Family, the kings, the shepherds and the animals. The displays, sponsored by New Orleans Public Service Incorporated, will be lighted for viewing from dusk until midnight. This is the third year the display will be featured at the beach.
