1961 Press Photo Mrs. Frank Cassard, beaten & robbed in the parking lot of bank

The wife of a retired detective was beaten and robbed of $8000 in the parking lot of a bank Friday morning although she frantically sounded her car's horn to attract attention. Victim of the 9:15 a.m. robbery was Mrs. Frank Cassard, 45, 942 Race, owner of the Miracle Mile restaurants and bar, 2800 Tulane. She is the wife of retired detective Frank Cassard. Mrs. Cassard was robbed by two in their 20s as she sat in her car outside of the Bank of New Orleans, 1231 South Broad.
