1968 Press Photo Dr. Louis Burroughs of Charity Hospital honors retiring nurses

Certificates of Appreciation are awarded to two nurses at Charity Hospital for their long service. Dr. Louis Burroughs, hospital director, presents the certificates to Miss Beatrix Boyer (left) and Mrs. Jose McKay Armstrong. Mrs. Armstrong, the hospital's first nurse, worked for 39 years before retiring last week. Miss Boyer, who served 38 years, will retire April 16. The awards to the two nurses was a highlight of Nurses' Week at Charity Hospital.
