1959 Press Photo Heads to raise funds for gymnasium of De La Salle High School

A drive to raise $500,000 for a gymnasium student center for De La Salle High school is headed by Robert U. Blum, center. At left is John E. Cassreino, vice-chairman, and at right Brother A. Francis, FSC. A campaign to raise $500,000 to build a gymnasium student center at De La Salle High school will begin tomorrow. Brother A. Francis, FSC, said De La Salle must give its students "a total education demanded by the world of today and the future, which insists on quality leadership, scholarship, physical fitness and high cultural attainment."
