Parachute instruction - Marines get thorough instruction in the use of parachutes before going aloft for air lift operations. Air lift is being used the first time in 1949 to move Organized Marine Corps Reserve units (ground) to summer training bases. Other reserve units will go by ship and rail to camps for active duty.
