Description
Keeping the hogs cool - A Vietnamese peasant girl uses her headgear to dump water on pigs in baskets on way to market. A sampan had been used to ferry the animals across the Cau Lau River south of Da Nang where the Viet Cong had earlier destroyed a highway bridge. Normally, such pigs would go to market in backs of buses or three-wheeled taxis.

Photo is dated 1972.

Photo measures 9.5 x 8.25 inches.
