1983 Press Photo "Day at the Races" of American Cancer Society at Fair Grounds

The Greater New Orleans Unit of the American Cancer Society will hold its annual "Day at the Races" Wednesday in the Clubhouse of the Fair Grounds. Tickets, to be purchased in advance, may be obtained by calling the American Cancer Society at 522-0851. Proceeds from the $5 admission will go toward support of the society's threefold program of research, education and patient services. Planning the day are (from left) Mrs. Lawrence Spahn, district leader; Mrs. Harcourt Waters, chairman of special events, and Mrs. Elmo Cire, chairman of the day.
