R.M. Smith, retiring president of A & P's Southern Division, holds a gift presented to him by W. A. Griffith (left), president of the Louisiana Chain of the Agriculture Committee of the Chamber of Commerce of the New Orleans Area. Smith was honored at a luncheon at the Roosevelt Hotel. He will retire at the end of this year.
