1949 Press Photo Kaye Victory comforting Billy, A lost boy- New Orleans Police

Mrs. Kaye Victory and "Billy" lost children got comfort and candy. The New Orleans Police force includes more than 900 men- and one woman. She's pleasant, gray-haired Mrs. Kate Victory, who looks more like a housewife than a crime preventer. The police force rather inherited Mrs. Victory. When her detective husband died, she took a job 23 years ago as a switchboard operator at headquarters.
