1983 Press Photo Pictures for Young Artists Show at Slidell Municipal Auditorium

More than 699 entries were received for the Young Artists Show of Slidell, a spokeswoman for the Slidell Mayor's Commission on the Arts said Friday. Parsons, the commission director, and several volunteers began hanging entries in a hallway of Slidell Municipal Auditorium. Parsons said entries were received from students ages 6 to 18. The exhibit is scheduled to open with a reception from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday, she said. the show will be open 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. through Wednesday.
