"Thank God for farms," jokes Yona Wellman, director of this year's Greater New Orleans Livestock Classic, "because Mondays are terrible days at the office." Wellman and her husband, New Orleans lawyer John R. Wellman, own an 80-acre Polled Hereford ranch, with 43 head of cattle in Robert, Louisiana, just north of Lake Pontchartrain between Covington and Hammond.
