New Orleans Weather Bureau - Clyde Conner and Other Officials. Final adjustments are being made on the government's $200,000 "weather eye" atop the federal office building here and it is expected to be in use within a few days. Installation of the weather bureau's new powerful radar station began in August and only last minute adjustments in the monitor room on the 10th floor of the building and in the big white fiberglass dome on the roof remain. Weather experts huddle before new radar console.
