David Cronenberg (left), writer-director of Aveo Embassy's current hit, "Scanners," receives a special Golden Scroll Award in recognition of outstanding achievement in the field of science fiction, fantasy and horror motion picture production from Tim Wohlgemuth, associate director of the national Academy of Science Fiction, Fantasy and Horror Films. The award was presented to Cronenberg at the David Cronenberg Film retrospective at the Hollywood Pacific Theatre.
