Shirley Wimberly, Orleans Parish Assistant District Attorney. After 20 years as an Air Force legal officer, 44-year-old Shirley Wimberly Jr., 6028 Catina, has taken a job as an assistant district attorney in Orleans Parish. First assistant District Attorney Charles R. Ward announced the appointment of Wimberly Tuesday. He is a son of the late Shirley Wimberly of Criminal District Court and recently retired from the Air Force with the rank of major.
