1963 Press Photo George Wunder receives The Exceptional Service Award, Pentagon

George Wunder, "Terry and the Pirates" Artist, last week received the United States medal for "Exceptionally meritorious service to the Air Force." The medal, The Exceptional Service Award, is the highest civilian decoration of the Air Force. It was presented to Wunder by Air Secretary Eugene Zuckert (June 10th, 1963) in special ceremonies in Zuckert's Office at the Pentagon.
