1965 Press Photo YMCA converted to dorm for visiting Rex parade bandsmen.

Cal Williams, right, general manager of the Young Men's Christian Association, supervises conversion of the "Y" gym in a dormitory for more than 3000 visiting bandsmen participating in the Rex parade. Bands from Mississippi and Alabama are included in the visiting groups. Rex furnishes the cots, mattresses and blankets, the "Y" provides the sheets and towels. The girls' dormitory is in the education department. Note runners on balcony only room left for exercise.
