A 15-year-old New Orleans youth narrowly escaped death today when a stray 22-caliber bullet struck him in the head while he was up in a tree near his home at 1434 Tricou. The wounded youth, Wayne Roberson, was troubled by "only a little sting" after a physician took out the bullet, which was protruding from his left temple. Wayne said he was up in the tree about three or four feet off the ground sawing off a limb when the bullet hit him.
