The Horror is still Fresh: Dr. Janina Storkowicz (extreme right, white dress) recalls the moment doctors at the concentration camp in Ravensbruck, Germany, used her as a human guinea pig. Three other women who were with her in he camp and who also were experimented upon strike depressed, serious poses at the recollection. The are (left to right) Mrs. Stefania Lotozeka, Mrs. Krystyna Wilgat and Mrs. Stanislawa Fafia. The Germans used 74 Polish women in experiments testing sulpha drugs. The women were operated upon and had infectious material placed in the wounds, or had bones crushed or carved away. These four women are visiting on a Stamford, Connecticut estate. They were brought to the United States by the Hiroshima Peace Center Associates for medical treatment and rehabilitation.
