1965 Press Photo Edmond C. Salassi stands on the free side of Berlin Wall

Berlin, West Germany: Mr. Edmond C. Salassi of New Orleans, Louisiana, stops on the free side of the Berlin wall only a few hundred feet from the famed Brandenburg Gate now closed by the East Berlin police. Photograph was taken during a Volkswagen dealers' trip which included meetings at the VW factories in Wolfsburg and Hanover as well as visits to Munich, Rothenburg and Hamburg. Salassi is with International Auto Sales and Service, Incorporated, of New Orleans, Louisiana, authorized VW distributor for the states Alabama, Louisiana, Mississippi and western Tennessee.
