Doctor W.W. Waring, clinic director, confers with Mrs. J.W. Rohner, Harahan and son, William. One half of the children who have the disease die by the time they are 8. Of the other half, some do live to become adults without serious handicap. The disease, the most common chronic one of infancy and childhood, is cystic fibrosis.
