1962 Press Photo New Orleans Fire Department fire extinguishing demonstration

Demonstrating how to extinguish a fire are members of the New Orleans Fire Department. The demonstration was staged in front of Isaac Delgado Central Trades school Monday to kick off Fire Prevention Week Firemen also showed how to jump from windows to safety nets. Mayor Victor H. Schiro spoke to school students at 615 City Park Avenue.
