A massive concrete "jet blast" fence is going up on the grounds of New Orleans International Airport near Airline Highway. The $222,000 fence is being constructed by Pratt Farnsworth Incorporated of Metairie. It will protect cars using an airport access road, also being built, from debris blown up by planes. The road, which will connect the front of the terminal with Veterans Memorial Boulevard is a $3 million project, being carried out by T. J. James Company.

Photo is dated 1975.

Photo measures 8 x 10.25 inches.
