Construction of a new $200,000 Belle Chasse, Louisiana, lockup for Plaquemines Parish was well under way this week with completion of the 10-cell holding plant expected later this year. The new building near the Belle Chasse Ferryboat Landing will include offices for the sheriff and the district attorney.
