New Orleans are voter registration workers breathed easier Wednesday night as the deadline passed for persons to get on the rolls to ballot in the Dec. 7 Democratic primary. The large crowd, which kept workers hopping for days in an 11th-hour rush to beat the deadline, began to dwindle after Wednesday's 8 p.m. cut-off time passed. A. P. "Tim" Gallinghouse, Orleans Parish registrar of voters, said all persons arriving at registration offices prior ro Wednesday's closing time were allowed to register.
