1967 Press Photo Reverend Peter Rogers accepts St. Jude statue in New Orleans

Description
A carved statue in wood of St. Jude, patron saint of the hopeless, is received by the Reverend Peter Rogers, pastor of Our Lady of Guadalupe Church, 411 North Rampart, site of the international shrine of St. Jude. The statue was donated by Maison Blanche, represented by its president, Eldridge P. Jones. It was carved in New Orleans by a visiting German artist. Louisiana.

Photo is dated 1967.
