1979 Press Photo Passengers Wait in the Cold for the Streetcar at St. Charles

New Orleans Public Service Inc. - Whisked away - For some, the wait for the streetcar was made unpleasant by gray skies and cold temperatures. The streetcar soon appeared at St. Charles Avenue and Thalia Street, top, to take passengers out of the dreary weather and on to their destination.
