1968 Press Photo Park workers cut weeds at Police building in Louisiana

Parkway and Park Commision workers accomplished a priority mission Wednesday without letting the grass grow beneath their feet. Whether it was shame, or a top-level directive that motivated them, the workers showed up in front of the Police Adminsistraitaon Buioding at 715 South Broad and cut through a jungle of weeds and red tape. It seemed that no one knew who had the responsibility of keeping up the greenery. Confusion and delay led to a grassy takeover.
