One of the most popular evergreen vines in New Orleans is confederate jasmine (trachelospermum jasminoides) which bears a profusion of fragrant white flower clusters in the spring. The flowers look like tiny pinwheels and are about three-fourths to one inch apart. The flower stems bleed a white sticky sap when cut. The leaves are dark green and glossy.

Photo is dated 1968.

Photo measures 10 x 8.25 inches.
