Probably the most popular persons aboard the drilling tenders and platforms are the cooks. Sea air whets the appetite, and offshore drilling crewmen consume nearly twice as much food as their onshore counterparts. Kitchens on CATC tenders and platforms are spotless. The galley holds a month's supply of food, including fresh meats, fruits and vegetables.
