1950 Press Photo Helicopter Hovers at Oil Progress Week Event, Louisiana

Oil Progress Week gets under way today with a 93-piece petroleum industry mobile equipment parade. The parade, showing the movable equipment used by oil companies in drilling, started at Jefferson Davis Pkwy. and Canal, came in Canal to Camp, turned around and return to the starting point. A helicopter used to carry exploration parties to inaccessible locations hovered over the parade.
