1960 Press Photo Airplane Breaks Ribbon At Runway Extension Ceremony, Moisant

Chairman H. T. Shallett of the New Orleans Aviation Board is at the controls as this plane sweeps along the lengthened east-west runway to break the ribbon dedicating the extension at ceremonies at Moisant International Airport. Mayor deLesseps S. Morrison rode with Shallett as they "cut" the ribbon.
