1961 Press Photo Final Section Installed In Veersche Gat Seaway, The Netherlands

Making a connection in Zeeland, The Netherlands. Like the last piece is a jigsaw puzzle the final section of a seven-unit seaway, the Veersche Gat, is nudged into place to close the gap. The span joins the islands of Walcheren and North Beveland in the Dutch province of Zeeland. The highway over the sea connections the islands is part of the Delta works.
