Making his annual inspection tour, Orleans Levee Board president Milton E. Dupuy (center) and three other Levee Board officials look over small amphibians which were some of the 140 pieces of mobile equipment on display at Mardi Gras Fountain Sunday on the lakefront. Since Hurricane Betsy, Dupuy said six "mini-ducks," costing a total of $80,000. were purchased for routine as well as emergency work. Accompanying Dupuy are (from left) John McNamara, assistant chief engineer, James V. Avallone, Board Commissioner; and Armand Willoz, chief engineer. The two amphibian drivers (at right) were specially trained to operate the vehicles, Dupuy said.
